What to Bring

Pilgrims must bring everything that is required for their journey.

The Christus Rex Society provides trucks to transport luggage between the overnight stops. Any items you require throughout the day must be carried by you.

Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately for Mass and receiving the sacraments each day. Temperatures can be very cold at night and very hot during the day.

Below is a general guide on what to bring.

  • Sleeping Gear (ie. sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and pillow)
  • Walking clothes for 3 days (spare socks and underwear)
  • Solid (worn-in) walking shoes
  • Warm overnight clothes suitable for cold conditions

Transport of Luggage

The Christus Rex Society provides luggage trucks which will transport any bulky/heavy luggage between each of the evening stops. The remainder of your personal items must be carried by you while walking, as you will require regular access to them throughout the day.  Your daypacks will be transported between meal stops along the way for you to access as needed, if you don’t want to carry them the entire way.

Luggage and daypacks must be labelled with the labels provided at the Check-In Desk for easy access and transport:

GREEN – Daypacks

BLUE – Women and families

YELLOW – Camper’s overnight luggage
